Thank you Uzi for sharing this article.. It helped me understand something that i can’t believe I missed all this time, circularity….
We all live in the current, and may I add amazing, digital era where your thoughts and ideas can travel worldwide in a click of a button, actually exactly what i’m doing in this very second.
In these rapidly changing times trends become very slippery, today’s hit is tomorrow’s failure and only some last a while (i.e. Facebook) but how is it relevant to the circularity?
In such a rapidly changing environment we are likely to miss the product life cycle that always surrounded us. The “early innovators” phase is short in time and the mature users are exposed to innovations at a very early stage, which means that the entry point for companies targeting the more mature phase of the product is arriving earlier than expected and is more likely to be missed.
In the case of the DIY Magazines, I think they are right on the money.
All they have to do now is to keep an eye for the upcoming chasm.
